I get distracted so easily that it's insane. Such can be seen with the date difference between my posts. The best example, like all best examples, of such behavior can be taken from a Simpson's quote. Homer is giving Krusty advice on the beach, looks away, then looks back and says "Oooh look, a clown."

I fully expect the revised Canon of Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, and King of the Hill will replace the bible for conventional wisdom. Sure, that's a sacreligious thing of me to say, but I've always been pretty sacreligious. More on that below.

A friend and I once did an experiment. We wanted to see how long we could go on naming quotes between those shows, relevant to a converstation of sorts, and say nothing else. Three-and-a-half hours is how long we went on, and the only reason it ended wasn't lack of quotes, it was a matter of sleep.

Those cartoons have set more of a tone for commentary and social critique than any other media outlet, and often times are much more honest than the cookie-cutter crap we're suggested to. Well, that and reality tv is so far from any "reality" I know, it's sick.
